Civil Based Bio-STP Project

Civil based Systems have been designed for 50KLD to 2 MLD Capacity.

1) 1 MLD Bio- STP at Delhi Technological University (Delhi College of Engineering)

  • Inlet source of water – Domestic sewage
  • Area required – 1300 sq.meter
  • Power consumption – 20 Kw/Hr
  • Operational since – 1st April 2019
  • Plant capacity – 1 MLD (1000 KLD) per day.
  • Organic manure generation – 93 ton per year.

2) 0.5 MLD (500 KLD) Bio-STP Plant at Guru Nanak Dev College of Engineering, Ludhiana

  • Inlet source of water – Domestic sewage
  • Area required – 640 sq.meter
  • Power consumption – 11 Kw/Hr
  • Operational since – 1st April 2017
  • Plant capacity – 0.5 MLD (500 KLD) per day.
  • Organic manure generation – 48 ton per year.

Treated water usage:

  • For horticulture and landscaping greeen maintenance area of 260 acres in DTU campus.
  • For toilet flusing and in different construction sites of the campus.
  • Daily equivalent to 40 water trucks of capacity 5000 liters each are filled from the Bio-STP plant.

3) Pond Rejuvenation at Kasan Gram Panchayat under Gurujal Water Management Initiative

  • Inlet source of water – Domestic sewage
  • Area required – 500 sq.meter
  • Power consumption – 5 Kw/Hr
  • Operational since – 1st February 2020
  • Plant capacity – 250 KLD per day.
  • Organic manure generation – 24 ton per year.

Treated water usage:

  • Sale of treated wastewater for
    • Construction sites.
    • Maintenance of neighboring industrial units.
  • Agriculture.
  • Hydrating for Bio Diversity Park of 250 acres.
  • Pond to be converted into Tourist lake activities.

Modular Based Bio-STP Project

Modular systems have been designed for smaller requirements, e.g. 1 KLD -50 KLD. This is ideal for where the footprint is limited. These would cater for communities like villages, housing colonies, localized treatment plants, etc.

1) 10 KLD Smart Toilets (Mini-STP) at Whitefield, Bangalore

  • Inlet source of water – Drain sewage
  • Area required – 5 sq.meter
  • Power consumption – 1.2 Kw/Hr (100% Solar)
  • Operational since – 1st August 2019
  • Plant capacity – 10 KLD per day.
  • Organic Manure Generation – 540 kg per year.

Treated water usage:

  • For flushing in office building.
  • Excess water is being used for lake rejuvenation.

2) 25 KLD Mini Bio-STP at Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences, Hapur, U.P.

  • Inlet source of water – Medical and domestic wastewater
  • Area required – 5 sq.meter
  • Power consumption – 1.5 Kw/Hr
  • Operational since – 26th March 2018
  • Plant capacity – 25 KLD per day.
  • Organic manure generation – 2 ton per year.

Treated water usage:

  • Toilet flushing.
  • Horticulture.

  • Power Consumption – 2.5 Kw/Hr

  • Plant capacity – 100 KLD per day.
  • Organic Manure Generation – 7 ton per year.

  • For domestic use in DJB colony at Keshopur.

  • Power Consumption – 1.2 Kw/Hr
  • Operational Since – 25th March 2016
  • Plant capacity – 10 KLD per day.
  • Organic Manure Generation – 540 kg per year.

  • Treated water is being recycled for processing.

Organic Waste to Energy Plant

100% Green energy from the kitchen waste

1. 1TPD (1000 KPD) Waste to Energy Plant at DTU (Delhi College of Engineering)

  • Source of waste – Kitchen waste
  • Waste processing capacity – 1000 kg per day.
  • Total gas generation – 100- 120 m³ of biogas per day
  • Total electricity generation – 120-160 Kw/Units  per day
  • Organic liquid manure production  800-900 liter per day
  • Annual waste processing capacity – 300-340 tons

Key Features of this Project

  • Practically no odors.
  • Gives green energy as product.
  • Produces better quality organic compost free of pathogens.
  • Generated electricity is being utilized in the campus of DTU.
  • Anaerobically digested manure is being used as soil conditioner for 265 acres of green land.

Applicable as per the new Solid Waste Management Rules (SWM) 2016 (Clause11&Clause15) which promotes decentralized Solid Waste management Plants.

Sulphate Removal System

1) Tikaula Sugar Mills Limited, Muzaffarnagar (U.P.)

  • Inlet source of water – Spray pond
  • Area required – 500 sq. meter
  • Power consumption – < 1 Kw/M³
  • Operational since – 27th January 2018
  • Plant capacity – 50 m³/hr
  • Sulphate removal – 85% reduced from inlet value

2) Kesar Sugar Factory, Baheri (U.P.)

  • Inlet source of water – Spray pond
  • Area required – 500 sq.meter
  • Power consumption – <1 Kw/M³
  • Operational since – 1st December 2018
  • Plant capacity 50 m³/hr
  • Sulphate removal – 85% reduced from inlet value

Treated Effluent leads to:

  • Producing sulphur free sugar.
  • Non contamination of
    • Soil
    • Surroundings water body.
